Teal has been trying to make a comeback for a few years now, but we think it’s really getting some traction this year. According to this Color Trend Watch blog post, “Teal is a very specific color, one that seems to be trying to shake off the shackles of its associations with 80’s office furniture.”
We think it’s doing a pretty darn good job because teal is very trendy this spring!
Although there is a wide variety of furniture and accessories that we are carrying in teal now, we sometimes like to take the do-it-yourself route too. Our resident redoer, Gayle, got inspired, purchased a few quarts of paint, and the shoppe has been teal-a-fied. We have teal walls, teal bunny boxes and more!
If you stop, you’ll find some unique teal shadow boxes, teal glass vases, teal wall art and a plethora of spring home decor to match. (Don’t worry, we have items for those of you who aren’t taking us up on our teal trend advice too!)
If you’re wanting to do a DIY project at home, grab a shade that matches your motif, and get painting. We like Valspar’s idea of taking an image from nature and pulling the shades and colors you’re drawn too. Check out their website for our teal inspiration and more Dreamscapes ideas.
The teal box in the slideshow that the bunny is snuggled into was brown before Gayle got to painting. BORING! Add some teal on top of any vessel you’re bored with, and you’ve created a spring decoration that’s to die for!
Hope the trend of teal finds you feeling as alive and ready for spring as we are! If you have a teal project you want to show off, send it our way!
